Garage Band

I used garage band when constructing my papers radio advert.

My radio advert consists of a male voice talking into the mac and advertising my paper.

Before the male voice talkins there are two sounds playinging alongside one another, these are sounds that I found from soundbible.com that I then converted to itunes and sent to garage band. I chose to have children playing in the background, and happy talking playing louder before the advertising starts, and then to dim the volume of the background noise when the male voice begins but to have to sounds still playing in the background of the voice so that there was still some noise. Once the male voixe finishes talking the noise then picks up slightly before the end of the adverts.

I chose to use the noise before during and after the male voice is advertising the paper, to try and give across the feeling of comunity. I felt that it would attract my target audience and would be a good way to attract radio listeners attention through the happy sound before the advertising starts.

I also found through researching other local papers that children are featured in all of them so I felt that this was an element that would benefit my paper.

This was the first time that I had used garage band, and i felt that my overall finish of my advert was good as it is well suited to my audience and as it is advertising the good points of the paper.
However to improve my piece I would next time enhance the time of my advert so that I could offer the audience more of the positive qualities that it has to offer. I also thinkt that I would use another person so that there could have been coversation in the dialouge to make the advert more personal and therefore more appealing to my audnice.
