I chose to name my newspaper 'Portisheads, Local Living' after previously haveing to change the name from 'Portishead People' as after doing research into newspapers in the area I discovered that there was already a paper with that title so I had to adapt and change my title so that my paper would be completely original.
When creating the masthead for my paper I chose to have the word 'Portishead' in a smaller font and to position it above the main title 'Local Living' Which I wanted to be the focus of the masthead. I chose this title and this lay out so that it was clear that my paper was intended for the local people in the villiage and so that it would appeal to the audience through its title.
I chose to use the same font for both 'Portishead' and 'Local Living' ao that there was fluidity it the masthead and so it gave the image of the paper a clear finished look.
I also found that when looking into other newspapers such as 'Portishead People' that they use the same bold font. Also the national paper 'The Sun' uses a similar layout dispalying 'The' in a smaller but the same font as 'Sun'.
